Welcome to Belle Étoile Studios.

We provide a full range of publishing services and print design. Our publishing services include proofreading, copyediting, composition, cover design, illustration, and image editing, and prepress production. We also specialize in editing and print design for individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits.

About Us

Our experience

We are two professionals with over 15 years of editorial, design, and production experience, and we each hold advanced degrees in our disciplines. We take pride in ensuring cogent, clean copy and crisp design.

We began by editing and designing literary journals and later moved into newspapers and nonfiction trade. From there we began working on legal textbooks for nonprofits and then college textbooks. We have been on staff at publishing houses in Boston and London, including over three years of valuable experience with Pearson Education, a leading publisher of college textbooks. We edit and design all types of trade books, as well as textbooks and journals. We also design marketing materials such as brochures, business cards, logos, and Web banners, as well as personal creative projects such as wedding and party invitations.

We strive to place high-quality design, production, and editing services within reach of those who may not have the budget to hire a large design studio.

Who We Are

Jamie Kerry manages all design and production services at Belle Étoile Studios. She has degrees in Literature, Publishing, and Creative Writing and has been designing for over a decade. She likes to travel on a whim, bike at night, and rock the bass guitar.

Michael Trudeau holds a Bachelor's in English and a Master's in Creative Writing and is in charge of Belle Étoile's editorial services. He has worked as a copyeditor, a proofreader, and a nonfiction editor. He also writes fiction and essays. When not editing or writing, he can be found pummeling the competition in the local co-ed soccer circuit.

In any visual communication, style, images, typography, color, and layout all affect the way viewers perceive a company or publication. Production

We also offer essential production services. These include page layout and typesetting within an existing design specification, image conversion and retouching, infographic creation, font management, and prepress and optimization operations.



Editorial

Belle Étoile offers substantive editing, copyediting, and proofreading services for all types of print and Web materials.

Our specializations include college, pre-K–12, and legal textbooks; trade fiction and nonfiction book manuscripts; and marketing copy.
